Hey John,

It's Fred (as in Fred and Ginger) from the La Jolla Writer's Conference. Just want to tell you how neat it was to get friendly with you. I gained a great deal from your encouragement, comments and experience.
I'm hard at work - clicking away at a rewrite for a couple of requested submissions to agents I met at the conference - and making progress despite a nasty crash, faulty backups and a one thousand dollar data retrieval fee. I wish that experience on no one. Not even evil lefties.
